3215 forum posts 181 photos | Morning everyone, I have this motor glider, and generally I find it to be good. The biggest problem with it is a lack of available information, there are threads on a popular US forum about setting it up with new motors ESC's and such, But what I'd like to do here is share information on the standard set-up, replacement props, spinners ESC's etc which keep it going, rather than upgrading it. When I got mine from a friend it had some failed servo's some of which I have replaced with the very cheap blue micros from GC, others with some mini futaba's I had. I have also moved the rudder servo as the snake had a serious kink in it and did not move freely. The ESC is an 18amp job, and the motor is a small bell type, I cannot see much more than this as it is inside the foam. We need someone with food experience. She has worked in the food industry for 6 years. I would reckomend regular checks to ensure the motor is secure - the screws can work loose, but a long screwdriver can tighten from the canopy area. Hopefully any other owner can contribute what they know! |

3215 forum posts 181 photos | Apparently it is a 10x6 folder, with a 4mm collet for the ones to fit the stock motor - according to HK support that is. I've got some folders coming from GC so will try these before I order anything else.. |

3215 forum posts 181 photos | OK, the ones from GC where incorrect. I have just recieve replacements from rcmodelcentre, based in the lake district. These are the blades for the ST Models ASW28 - Another aircraft I fancy at some point. They look good and I will try them tonight. If they fit I'll power test and might get a quick flight in before SWMBO gets home...then again, looking at the weather.. |

3215 forum posts 181 photos | OK, a bit more investigation on the prop adapter, it does need a little taking off the back of the spinner to run clear. The prop provides sufficient power for a good flight though. I have also changed the wing fitting to use blind-nuts and wing bolts, I don't like the default method of attachment. |
